About the role
As a Home Loan consultant at Well, you will be responsible for ensuring the customer's journey from enquiry to application and subsequent settlement of their home loan is a seamless one.
Your primary responsibility is to be the initial point of contact for all home loan enquiries that are received, both online and via phone. Due to the increased volume of leads that we've been experiencing, a great phone manner will be extremely important.
You will also be required in many instances to compete an assessment of a customer's enquiry, providing an initial assessment of the application against the credit criteria and policy of the business. You will also be responsible for collecting supporting information from the customers and liaising with third party partners in support of the home loan application.
Key points on the role require you to:
Take initial lead enquiries coming via marketing efforts - online, live chat and via call back phone consultation requests.
Liaising with internal credit team on current policy and procedures.
Communication with applicants to ensure that they are looked after during their application.
Pre-assessment using basic servicing, borrowing structures and property suitability.
Ensuring adherence to relevant regulatory obligations for assessing credit (include NCCP, AML/KYC, Privacy Act and other relevant laws).
Providing additional support to the Credit Team when required to help ensure the customer is being looked after at all times.

Ability to assess simple loan applications, including analysis of financial statements.
Experience with settlement activities and interactions with select panel lawyers.
Must be highly computer literate on Excel, Word and Web based processing systems.
Must display exceptional phone manner and both verbal and written communication skills.
Strong ability to interact within a team environment.
Appropriate educational qualifications and a minimum Cert IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking .
